Job Description:
As a Bid Writer, you will play a crucial role in the work winning team. You will be responsible for crafting persuasive, compelling, and compliant bids and proposals for planned refurbishment projects in the social housing sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid Preparation: Collaborate with the business development and project management teams to gather information and develop comprehensive bid responses that align with client requirements and project objectives.
Content Creation: Write and edit bid content, ensuring it is clear, concise, and tailored to the specific needs of each project.
Research: Conduct market research to identify opportunities, assess competition, and gather data to support bid development.
Compliance: Ensure that all bids are compliant with client specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
Quality Assurance: Review and proofread bid documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts and technical teams to gather input and create winning bid strategies.
Deadline Management: Manage bid submission timelines, coordinate internal resources, and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek feedback and identify opportunities for improving the quality and effectiveness of bid submissions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g, Business, Marketing, English, or Construction Management).
Proven experience in bid writing for the construction or social housing sector, preferably with a main contractor.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement processes, and social housing regulations is a plus.
