The Company

This Asbestos Surveyor role is with a well-known and leading mid-sized multi-disciplined design and engineering consultancy. They undertake a wide range of activities in both the public and private sector from their London and regional offices.

The Role

• Liaise with the client on Asbestos remediation works
• Carry out Ad Hoc assessments
• P402 essential with preferably 4 years’ experience in the work environment.
• Excellent working knowledge of asbestos surveying and regulations is required.
• Experience with social housing surveys is preferable.
• To provide asbestos surveying services to clients, undertaking management and refurbishment & demolition surveys, taking bulk samples and providing clearly presented and well written site notes on the tablet.
• To proactively engage in the training and development provided by the company.
• To uphold the Code of Conduct and the requirements of the company as instructed
• To support the business by working flexibly and responsively from the company’s office or from client’s sites as required.
• To be proactive to ensure that work is delivered on time by all areas of the business.

Experience

• P402 (P403 / P404 desirable)
• Minimum 6 months experience working in a UKAS accredited environment.
• GCSE Grades A-C including Maths, English & Science.
• IT literate with experience using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel. Familiarity with ‘TEAMS’ asbestos software would be preferable.
• Excellent verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Keen, motivated and reliability.
• Willing to undertake a DBS check prior to starting in the position.
• Possess a current driving licence (max 3 points).

• Enthusiastic, with a positive working attitude
• Good Communications skills, and the ability to establish and build effective working relationships
• Willingness and ability to travel widely as part of the works. Applicants should be car owners with a full clean driving licence.
