Project Quantity Surveyor

Company

My client is an established main contractor for 50 years that specialise in residential projects ranging in value from £10m to in excess of £100m. This role is working for their construction team on design and build or refurbishment projects.

Role

They are looking for an experienced Project Surveyor to join their existing commercial team. Initially you will be working for on a Grade II Refurbishment residential project in Hammersmith. You will be commercially responsible for this project from procurement through to final accounts.

Candidate

The successful individual will have led their own project from inception through to completion and will have been solely responsible for procurement, subcontract management, cost reporting and final accounts for that project. They will have a steady employment background and previous experience working on new build projects is vital. The projects are new build/refurbishment projects although previous new build experience is not essential.

Your duties will include;

• Procurement of sub-contractors
• Management of subcontractor accounts including measurements, variations and valuations
• Agree final accounts with sub-contractors and client
• Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time
• Monthly Cost reporting
• Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts to the   management team. Help ensure that business targets and KPI’s are exceeded
• To assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
