Quantity Surveyor – Drylining Permanent

Quantity Surveyor:

This Quantity Surveyor’s opportunity is with one of the Southeast’s leading drylining contractors. They are a specialist in delivering suspended ceilings and partitions and offer a large range of services for the building and fit-out industry. They work with leading main contractors to deliver quality products, on time, to budget and defect free.

The Role:

You will be involved with projects from the early stages with procurement through to final account reporting into the Managing Director/Projects Directors. Their current projects and forward order book consist of a wide range of contracts from £100k – £1m covering the above packages with tier 1 main contractors on a range of projects in and around London.

The role will include:

• Preparation of project budgets, checking project contracts, administering project contracts.
• Measurement of the project to check quantities against tender allowances.
• Set budgets for, and raise payments, for subcontract labour; manage variations as they occur; producing fortnightly cost reports.
• Ensure an awareness of the key responsibilities under the contract; ensure regular agreement of site instructions with the client. Ensure payments are received on time in accordance with the contractual payment terms; ensure retention monies are released when due.
• Prepare and discuss the final account for projects.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts.
• Prepare monthly Cost Value Reports.
