The client is an excellent firm to work for and is generally considered to be one of the UK’s leading developers. They have won numerous awards and have a great reputation in the industry for training and staff development.

This Senior Engineer position is based in their Leicester office covering projects in

Leicestershire and the East Midlands. The role is based in the office 4 days a week with 1 day WFH.  The projects will be new build residential developments with the sizes ranging from 80-800 units per site.

The Role

The Senior Engineer position sits within the technical team reporting to the Engineering Manager.

You will be tasked with the management of a number of developments including the expectation to prepare all relevant engineering information to a high degree of accuracy and to deliver on time.

Duties

• Managing various consultants ensuring an accurate, compliant and timely flow of engineering information to the site teams
• Liaise with the consultants to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Attend site visits & meetings to resolve any problems that arise during the construction process
• Attend design meetings with highways & drainage departments to ascertain requirements from a council perspective for new developments
• Ensure technical approvals are received for section 38 & section 104 agreements
• Review the Green & Sustainability Infrastructure for proposed sites
• Ensure suitable remediation strategy for G&S infrastructure.
• Secure all approvals & ensure accurate information is relayed to site staff.
• Help to coach, develop and mentor more junior members of the technical team.

 Candidate Requirements

• Experience working as a Senior Engineer or Engineer for a residential developer is desired
• Would also consider candidates with strong experience in a consultancy role
• Previous AutoCAD experience is desirable but not essential
• Minimum qualification is an HNC/HND in a Construction / Engineering subject
