Senior Project Manager

This Senior Project Managers role is with one of the leading main contractors in the residential, hospitality and commercial sectors. Primarily working in London and the Southeast they undertake major new build and refurbishment projects in the £30m – £200m bracket. They are one of the UK’s fasted growing main contractors and they currently have full order book with numerous projects due to site imminently.

The Role

As a Senior Project Manager your principal accountability will be to ensure that the project is delivered safely, on time and on budget and that adequate resources of the right calibre are used. Additional functions of the role are:

• Overall responsibility for the success of a project ensuring it is handed over on time, to the client’s expectations and within budget.
• Develop and implement project programmes.
• Identify quality expectations and ensure these are achieved.
• Facilitate site establishment and site logistics.
• Manage all statutory and company requirements for managing Health, Safety and environment compliance.
• Understand the contractual requirements of the project.
• Identifies and manages risk.
• Ensure delivery against the project budgets including profit, preliminaries, procurement etc.
• Ensure measures are established for the timely delivery of design information.
• Contribute into supply chain selection
• Agree requirements for time, cost and quality aspects of trade contractor packages.
• Maintaining good relationships with clients, consultants and sub-contractors.

Context:

Responsible for leading a team working proactively with minimal direct supervision. The initial scheme will be a new build super-prime residential / hotel project.

This role would suit a Senior Project Manager keen to take the next step to become a Project Director.

To be considered for this role you must have recently worked on projects in excess of £30m with a well-known main contractor on London based schemes.
