The Company

This Sustainability Manager’s role is with one of the UK’s major main contractors. They have established themselves as being a leading main contractor in the commercial, residential, public and interiors sectors. They work on a diverse range of both new build and refurbishment schemes ranging in value from £20m – £500million. This current position is for a Sustainability Manager to join their major projects division to work on £150m + projects.

The Role

• Leading on sustainability performance reporting, improvement and verification through SmartWaste
• Leading on carbon emissions reduction and the wider resource efficiency agenda
• Assisting in the development of new strategy, policy and targets.
• Supporting the business in the implementation and delivery of the Group Sustainability strategy, its ambitions and targets
• Supporting sustainability input to business development & bids
• Carrying out research and development, identifying opportunities, encouraging innovation and improvements in transferability to increase efficiency and work-winning
• Influencing and networking, speaking and profile raising
• Training offered (if required): BREEAM AP
